I’ve been in your shoes—watching my child struggle to read and not knowing what to do or how to help!
I know the frustration, the tears, the worry, and the prayers.
I was a homeschool mom of three, and while my oldest kids learned to read easily, my youngest struggled. It seemed that nothing I tried stuck. He was frustrated. I was at my wits end. It turns out he has severe dyslexia. Months of daily tutoring, tears, and thousands of dollars later, he could read… slowly.
That experience, along with my later classroom students needs, led me to dive deep into the science of reading, how to help all children, including those with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia without shame or dread. Through additional training, trial and error, and prayer, I learned how to turn reading into playful, confidence-building fun.
Now, I offer play-based reading instruction that gives kids the skills and confidence to succeed. They often beg to stay longer! I wish I had this knowledge when my son was younger, but I’m here for you. I’m the guide I wish I had back then.

Movement & Play
Kids learn when they move, wiggle, and have fun! Every game and activity meets them where they are and keeps their brains buzzing. Yes, it's true that I spin them in the hanging chair. (If they want to!)

Multisensory Games
I mix sight, sound, touch, and movement so reading clicks naturally. Think hands-on, playful, and actually enjoyable. Be prepared. They might not want to leave when our time is up!

Trust & Connection
First, I build a safe, warm space where your child feels understood. That’s the springboard. Confidence and real reading progress follow. I know when to push and when to praise.
Kind Words from Parents

What Makes This Different
What to expect in your free reading session . . .
This is not a test and your child won’t be put on the spot.
It’s a relaxed, play-based session where I get to know your child and how they learn best. You’ll leave with clarity, encouragement, and a clear sense of next steps.

In-person sessions available in Waxahachie, Texas.
Limited online sessions available for families outside the area.
Steps
1. Book a time that works for you.
Choose a 45-minute session at your convenience.
2. Your child and I play and read
I observe skills, confidence, and learning style through games and gentle activities.
3. We talk through what I notice
I’ll share strengths, needs, and what would be most helpful moving forward.
4. You decide the next step
No pressure. This session is designed to be genuinely helpful. Whether or not you decide to move forward with ongoing tutoring, you’ll leave with insight into your child’s reading needs and practical ideas you can use right away.
If we’re not the right fit, I’m happy to point you toward resources that may be helpful for your family.
This is not a tutoring mill.
I keep my roster intentionally small so I can focus on each child.
I leave space between sessions to reset and be fully present, because your child deserves my best attention.
